The New Antimins 7/26

This past Sunday we had the blessing and honor of beholding and reverencing our new antimins (pictured to the left, please click on the picture to see the larger version). For those who may not know, the antiminsion (meaning instead of the table) is the beautiful cloth that actually makes the altar an altar upon which Christ graces us with His life through the Eucharist. Fiesta & Auction 5/30

Come and join us this Saturday night, May 30th, at 6:30 pm for our annual Fiesta & Auction held at Esperanza's Restaurant (2122 N. Main St. Fort Worth, TX). This is the event through which we raise money to send our teens and pre-teens to Camp St. Raphael as well as raise money for our many youth ministries. Alms for a Monastery

During Great Lent we are instructed by the Church to increase our Christian practice of giving alms to those in need. This year, at St. Peter Orthodox Church, we are opening the door to another avenue to which we can give alms that will bring assistance to a worthy cause. We are encouraging all to consider giving part of their charitable donations to the Benedictine Fellowship of St. Laurence, a monastery located near Canon City, Colorado.
