Archimandrite Gerasim (Eliel) is the dean of St. Seraphim's Orthodox Cathedral in Dallas (OCA). He was formerly the abbot of St. Herman of Alaska Monastery in Platina, CA. He graduated as class valedictorian with an M.Div. from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Archimandrite Gerasim has lectured widely, traveled as a pilgrim to many of Orthodoxy’s most famous monasteries worldwide, and has led efforts to start churches, monasteries, and other missionary efforts in California, Alaska, Ecuador, Brazil, and now in Texas as the Administrator of the OCA’s Diocese of the South.
