St. Sophia Kicks Off the Year
Sunday we kicked off the St. Sophia Women's Ministry with the first meeting of the year. We had a record number of 38 ladies attend. We enjoyed lunch together followed by a business meeting with an overview of upcoming events such as the Bishop's visit, Thanksgiving meal, and Ornament/All things Christmas Exchange. Afterwards, we sat at designated tables for each of the committees of St. Sophia (humanitarian, religious, membership, financial, and project), met the new leaders for each group, and began getting familiar with the particulars that each committee has to offer.
A new parish cookbook is one of the projects the women's ministry is working on. We are in the early stages of the project and are currently gathering recipes. If you would like to submit a recipe please use the form found below. The heart of the cookbook is hospitality with hopes to be a living document and include some of the traditions of the church.
